Current Focus

The PatrickHomeLab environment is currently focused on building a production-style infrastructure platform using the Dell Precision 3630, Proxmox virtualization, centralized storage, and automation.

  • Media VM with centralized NFS storage from Vault
  • AWS S3 media backup and disaster recovery
  • WireGuard VPN access from MacBook and Windows workstation
  • Prometheus and Grafana monitoring stack
  • Ansible-driven automation and VM rebuild workflows

Current Projects

Several new projects are currently being developed to continue expanding the environment and demonstrate real-world infrastructure engineering.

  • Public monitoring dashboard integrated into the website
  • Plex VM rebuild automation with Ansible
  • Media inventory system using PostgreSQL and Plex API
  • Family shared storage and VPN-based remote access
